Making a Difference
Our Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Primary Care Clinics serve 12,000+ unique patients of all ages annually through a range of integrated services.
We are embedded in underserved communities across New York City to ensure that at-risk populations are able to gain access to much-needed primary care and behavioral health services in their own neighborhoods. Approximately 80% of our clients are Hispanic/Latinx and/or Black/African American.
Our FQHCs belong to a robust network of health centers across the United States, which provide preventive and primary care services to 30 million+ people annually. In addition, community health centers –like those operated by La Casa de Salud– lower health care costs to the tune of 24 billion dollars a year, reduce rates of chronic diseases, and stimulate local economies.
Our Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) play a critical role in the health and safety of our communities, particularly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, which has disproportionately impacted the vulnerable populations we serve across constituencies such as yours.
